“Earth Day” Celebration
Earth day falls on 22nd of April each year. The day is celebrated to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first officially held on April 22, 1970 and has now become a global event and includes a wide range of celebration involving 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. Our school celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. Children participated in creative activities like slogan writing, card making, poster making and poem writing displaying their artistic and linguistic skills while showcasing their awareness about conserving natural resources..
The Sapphire School, Ratlam also came forward and celebrated the day with its students. We conducted a drawing competition on the theme “Earth Day” where students from class 1st to 12th participated and made some of the most creative paintings and drawings.
The activity conducted taught the students the value of earth and how we humans are responsible for its de-grading conditions and what precautions can we take to reduce its effects.
